Assessment Standards & Transparency
Understanding how knowledge is assessed, documented, and communicated.
Our Assessment Principles
BookCertification.com is designed to help individuals demonstrate understanding of knowledge acquired through reading.
Our approach focuses on book-based assessment, clear documentation of achievements, and transparent communication of what results represent.
Questions are generated with AI for the selected book and assessment language. Where custom book content is supplied, it is passed to the generator as the source. Otherwise, generation uses the book's title and author together with the model's knowledge.
An AI-generated assessment can contain errors or omissions. We do not claim psychometric validation, independent expert moderation, or external standardisation.
Assessment Results
Structure: Assessments are presented as multiple-choice questions. The generator requests four answer options per question and 20 questions; the current service accepts at least 10 and returns no more than 20. The actual number is displayed during the assessment.
Scoring: The application calculates the number of correct answers divided by the number of questions, multiplies by 100, and rounds to the nearest whole percentage.
Passing threshold: A calculated score of 70% or above is treated as a successful assessment. A Certificate of Knowledge records that successful completion.
Trying again: After an unsuccessful assessment, Try Again reopens the same questions. It does not generate a new assessment. Starting a newly generated assessment is separate and subject to the account and credit rules shown in the platform. No blanket promise of unlimited free retakes is made.
Certificate Verification
Issued certificates have a unique reference code and an existing verification link. Visitors can use that link, or enter the code in the certificate verification form on the homepage, to view the corresponding record.
The verification page identifies the learner, book, author and issue date. A score is shown when the certificate owner's display settings permit it.
Verification confirms the platform's certificate record. It is not an external accreditation check or a cryptographic guarantee.
What Our Certificates Represent
A Certificate of Knowledge documents successful completion of a specific book-based knowledge assessment within BookCertification.com.
It provides evidence of performance within that assessment's defined scope.
It does not independently establish mastery of an entire discipline, professional competence, practical experience, or equivalence to a recognised academic qualification.
Independence & Accreditation
BookCertification.com is an independent knowledge assessment platform.
Its certificates are not academic degrees, professional licences, or independently accredited qualifications. No university affiliation, government recognition, ISO certification, or endorsement by an author or publisher is claimed here.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Committed to Continuous Improvement
BookCertification.com aims to improve the clarity, consistency, and reliability of its assessment experience over time.
The current generation service requests a structured question format and checks that a minimum number of questions was returned. These technical checks do not establish factual accuracy or independent validation.
Stronger assessment quality measures remain goals unless they have been implemented and documented. We are transparent about the present scope and limitations rather than presenting planned measures as completed achievements.
Privacy & Responsible Data Use
Learning records and personal information deserve responsible handling. Please review the existing Privacy Policy for the platform's stated practices and your available choices.
This overview does not claim an independent GDPR certification, security audit, or a new encryption or retention guarantee.

Introducing BCAS 1.0
Our Proprietary Assessment Quality Framework
Book Certification's assessments are guided by the Book Certification Assessment Standard (BCAS), our proprietary framework defining the principles behind assessment structure, question quality, scoring, review and certificate verification.
BCAS provides greater transparency into how our independent book knowledge assessments are designed and administered.
